Frequently Asked Questions

Are your glass splashbacks heat-resistant enough to install behind a hob?

Yes, all our bespoke glass splashbacks are made from toughened safety glass, which is highly heat-resistant (typically up to 400°C) and designed specifically for use behind gas, induction, or electric hobs. With proper installation and clearances, they handle radiant heat, steam, and thermal shock without issue.

What thickness do you recommend for bespoke glass splashbacks?

We most commonly use 6mm toughened glass as the industry standard – it provides an excellent balance of strength, durability, and a premium look. For larger panels or a more luxurious feel, we can offer 8mm options. Thickness doesn't significantly affect heat resistance; the toughening process is what ensures safety and performance.

How durable and long-lasting are your bespoke glass splashbacks?

Extremely durable! Our heat-resistant toughened glass is up to 5 times stronger than standard glass, resistant to impacts, scratches, moisture, and stains. With proper care, they maintain their appearance for many years without fading, warping, or discolouring – making them a hygienic, low-maintenance choice for busy kitchens.

Do you offer installation advice or services for your made-to-measure splashbacks?

Yes – we provide detailed guidance for professional or DIY installation using approved methods (neutral cure silicone or mechanical fixings). For complex bespoke projects, we can recommend certified installers. We also ensure precise measurements and templates so your custom splashback fits perfectly and performs safely behind heat sources.
