Cream and neutral glass splashbacks for warm, classic kitchens

Cream, honey and soft off white splashbacks suit kitchens where a pure white would feel too stark: painted shaker units, oak or walnut worktops, and traditional country kitchens. These are the shades that quietly tie a room together rather than drawing the eye.

The collection includes honey cream, honey ribbon, morning glow and winter fur. Each is painted onto the back of toughened safety glass, giving a smooth gloss finish that is heat resistant behind any hob and cleans with a wipe. Because the colour is sealed behind the glass it will not yellow, which is the usual complaint with cream tiles and paint.

Matching neutrals

Hold a sample against your cabinet doors and worktop in daylight. Cream glass next to a bright white cabinet can look yellow, while next to a cream or sage cabinet it looks exactly right. If your kitchen is mostly white, the limewash white in the white collection may be the better neutral.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between cream and white glass?

Cream has a visible warm, yellow or honey undertone. White has none, or a very slight grey or blue cast. Put them side by side and the difference is obvious. Cream belongs in warm toned kitchens and white in cool toned ones.

Will cream glass yellow over time?

No. Unlike painted walls and some tiles, the colour is sealed behind the glass away from light, heat and cleaning products, so it stays exactly the shade it was fitted.

Which neutral suits an oak kitchen?

Honey cream or morning glow. Both pick up the warm tones in the timber. Winter fur is a cooler off white that suits lighter woods such as ash or pale oak.

Do neutral splashbacks show marks?

Less than dark colours. Splashes sit on the glass surface and wipe off, and the mid tone hides minor smears between cleans better than white or black.
