Kitchen glass splashbacks for every style of kitchen

The wall between worktop and wall units takes more punishment than any other surface in the house: steam from the kettle, splashes from the sink, grease from the hob. A kitchen glass splashback covers that whole strip with a single wipe clean panel, with no grout to discolour and no joints for grease to collect in.

Whatever the style of kitchen, there is a panel to suit it. Solid colours in white, grey, cream, green, blue and pink. Printed designs from highland cows to marble. Clear glass to show off a painted wall. All are made from toughened safety glass in standard sizes, so the most common worktop to cupboard heights of 600mm and 750mm are in stock and dispatched in 1 to 3 working days.

Measure the width you want to cover and the height between worktop and the underside of the wall units, allow a few millimetres clearance, and pick the nearest standard size. For socket cut outs or unusual shapes, use the custom service.

Upstand, hob only, or full run

Most customers fit a panel behind the hob only, matching the hob width or one size up. A full run between worktop and wall units gives the cleanest look and is done with several panels butted together. Short upstand heights of 400mm are also in the range for kitchens without wall units.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a glass splashback better than tiles in a kitchen?

For cleaning, yes. There is no grout to stain or go mouldy and a single panel wipes clean in seconds. It also looks more seamless. Tiles are cheaper per square metre and easier to fit around awkward shapes, so for a very long run with lots of sockets, tiles may still make sense.

What size kitchen splashback do I need?

Measure the gap between worktop and wall units for the height, usually 600mm to 750mm, and the width of the area you want to cover. Take a few millimetres off each measurement for clearance and choose the nearest standard size. If the gap is not standard, the custom service cuts to your measurements.

Can I fit a kitchen splashback myself?

Yes. Most customers do. Clean the wall, apply adhesive to the back of the glass, press it into position and support it for 24 hours. No drilling or grout is needed.

Do kitchen glass splashbacks stain?

No. Glass is non porous, so grease, sauces and steam sit on the surface and wipe away. Unlike tiles, there is no grout to absorb stains.
