Cooker Splashbacks

(156 products)

A cooker splashback protects the wall behind your hob from heat, grease and splashes. Every panel here is toughened safety glass, heat resistant well beyond anything a domestic gas, induction or electric hob produces, so it can sit directly behind the cooker with no gap.

Most hobs are 600mm or 900mm wide. We hold matching widths in stock, from 600 x 600mm up to 1000mm wide, so you can pick a size that lines up with your hob and extractor without waiting for a cut to order panel. Choose a solid colour, a printed design or clear glass, and we will dispatch it from our West Lancashire workshop in 1 to 3 working days with fixing adhesive available as an add-on.

Cooker splashbacks sized to match your hob

The wall behind a cooker gets the most heat and the most grease in the kitchen. A toughened glass cooker splashback covers it with a single panel that shrugs off both. Our standard widths of 600mm, 650mm, 700mm, 750mm, 800mm, 900mm and 1000mm line up with the common hob and range cooker sizes, so you can pick a panel that sits neatly between the hob and the extractor.

Every cooker splashback is toughened safety glass, suitable for use directly behind gas, electric and induction hobs and behind range cookers. The colour or print is sealed on the back of the glass, so heat and grease never reach it and the front face wipes clean.

Panels are held in stock and dispatched in 1 to 3 working days. Add fixing adhesive at checkout and the panel is ready to fit.

How wide should a cooker splashback be

At minimum, match the hob width. For a 600mm hob a 600mm panel works, though many customers go to 650mm or 700mm for extra coverage either side. For a 900mm range cooker, choose 900mm or 1000mm. Height is usually 750mm for a wall with units above, or taller for an open wall behind a range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I put a glass splashback behind a range cooker?

Yes. Toughened glass is suitable behind range cookers as well as built in gas, electric and induction hobs. Choose a width that matches or slightly exceeds the cooker, typically 900mm or 1000mm.

Do I need a gap between the hob and the glass?

Leave a small gap of a few millimetres between the back edge of the hob and the glass. It allows for expansion and air movement and is standard practice for any splashback material.

Which size suits a 60cm hob?

A 600mm panel matches exactly. A 650mm or 700mm panel gives a little coverage either side, which many people prefer. The height depends on the gap to the extractor or wall units, usually 600mm to 750mm.

Is glass easier to clean than tiles behind a cooker?

Much easier. Grease on tiles collects in the grout and needs scrubbing. On glass it sits on a smooth surface and comes off with a damp cloth and glass cleaner.
